What makes Jobrem different?

You’re probably wondering what makes Jobrem any different from the 1,001 other remote job boards out there? While we’ve attempted to answer this in Jobrem FAQs. I’ll go in depth here to bring out what really makes us unique and yes! better than most other remote job boards out there.

Have you noticed that Jobrem is not cluttered with ads, pop-ups and other annoying distractions? Yeah, its deliberate. We know that looking for remote jobs can sometimes be nerve racking; we’ve been there before. That’s why we love to keep things straight to the point. We’re here to connect remote workers to remote employers and vice versa and that’s what we strive to do, so no distractions! But that’s not all though, we’re real simple guys making a difference so it rubs off.

Authenticity is our watch word when listing remote jobs on Jobrem. We thoroughly fact check every company/agency to be sure they actually exist and that they have a credible track record. We also verify each listing to be sure it’s actually legit/real and that it’s still active (i.e. hasn’t already been filled or expired).

We need to do all these because some really really bad people have taken advantage of the “remote work boom” to draw traffic to their sites by listing fake/misleading remote openings to unsuspecting remote workers seeking remote jobs.

That’s not all, they sometimes take advantage of vulnerable remote job seekers by collecting their personal details for malicious use. We’ll talk more about this in subsequent posts (so remember to subscribe and keep checking back).

  1. I am interested in remote work in the following areas:
    • Maintenance and infrastructure management – Maintenance and building infrastructure management on Transnet assets, Eskom assets and in recent times on various development and building projects such as Fynbos building projects.
    • Expert communication and liaison expertise on projects, development and consulting projects
    • Project/contract management/administration – Medupi package 10 infrastructure project management and technical design team leader, GGV contract administrator, small and big contracts/feasibility studies etc. as team leader/manager including back into Eskom days.
    • Information Management – Advanced user of MS office suite including Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint. Familiar with the operating principles of various accounting and financial packages including SAP, Quick books, Pastel and Gnubooks. Able to build web sites and pages with various tools. Advanced user of engineering design and drafting programs.
    • Contract/procurement management – preparing/compiling/evaluating etc. contract documents, supporting documents, procedures, specifications etc. (Fidic, NEC, Civil engineering blue book, client own GCC)
    • Infrastructure design/management – Wide range of design and management of design experience including storm water, water , roads, earth works, , sewer, rail and all related work from township to mega projects. Also feasibility and other studies. Recent experience on coal mines, Leeuwpan, Goedgevonden, Grootgeluk, Thabametsi, Tweefontein, Greenside mine. Fluor – Nokeng Mine, Copper/Zinc – Gamsberg, Mines in Africa – Revuboe and Estima in Mozambique, Mayoko in the Congo and Iron ore in Liberia.
